Senior Linux System Administrator
with experience in
KVM, CentOS, and SAN . This position will be part of the NASA Security Operations Center, and
US Citizenship is required
to obtain a
Secret clearance . Manage Linux infrastructures and Storage Area Network environments. Provide Tier 2 systems support, including project initiatives for service improvement and routine system administration tasks. Oversee infrastructure services such as Storage Area Networks, Web Hosting, System Monitoring, and Linux server administration. Support system operations and applications for the customer. Participate in designing, implementing, operating, and decommissioning applications and hardware. Assist in developing and documenting configuration management databases. Requirements:
Proficiency in Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu), Apache, and KVM. Knowledge of Storage Area Networks. Experience installing and configuring servers, diagnosing hardware issues, and enhancing monitoring with tools like IPmonitor and Nagios. Ability to configure infrastructure components and manage log files with auditing capabilities. Develop and maintain system and data center documentation, adhering to change management procedures. Willingness to be on rotation for data center coverage. Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued Secret clearance. Desired Skills:
VMware and ESX Hypervisors. Experience with NASA systems administration. Education and Experience:
6-8 years of senior systems administration in an enterprise environment. Additional Information:
