This facility is a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive healthcare services to the Springfield area and surrounding communities. The hospital offers advanced urological services with state-of-the-art surgical facilities and a collaborative medical team environment.
Opportunity:
Board Certification Eligible - Urology
Job Details:
• Provide ongoing coverage starting November 2025 due to resignation by permanent physician
• Cover hospital services in-house approximately 7a-5p, including surgical cases, inpatient rounding, and consults
• Handle on-call coverage from 5p-7a
• Potential outpatient clinic coverage Monday-Friday 8a-5p, seeing 20-25 patients per day
• Perform general urology procedures for adult patients (pediatric experience preferred)
• Conduct ureteroscopy procedures (required)
• Experience with advanced endoscopic techniques and laparoscopic surgeries preferred
• Perform renal and bladder ultrasounds with biopsy capabilities (preferred)
• Conduct TRUS biopsies (preferred)
• Handle incontinence procedures and penile prosthesis placements (preferred)
• Experience with Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) preferred
• Must maintain ACLS certification
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30-90 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
