Were hiring a Criminal Defense Trial Attorney to join a firm built on justice, compassion, and fierce advocacy. Youll carry your own caseload, handle serious matters with independence, and collaborate with a sharp, values-driven team that always puts people first.


Compensation:

  • $100,000$120,000 base salary plus bonuses and custom incentives based on performance and self-generated cases

Responsibilities:
  • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
  • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
  • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
  • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
  • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
  • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
  • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
  • Must be an attorney licensed to practice in Texas
  • Must read, write, and speak in Spanish
  • Must be able to handle a criminal caseload or similar litigation experience
  • Must have trial experience
