Overview
We are working with a reputable California-based law firm seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an attorney with experience in business, real estate, and/or employment litigation who is looking to grow their practice in a collaborative, well-established firm. The role involves handling a mix of complex litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload involving commercial/business disputes, real estate litigation (e.g., lease disputes, breach of contract, property rights), and employment defense matters (e.g., wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination).
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
- Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and team members to develop case strategies and manage client expectations.
- Participate in trial preparation and, depending on experience, handle trials or support trial counsel.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active member in good standing with the California Bar.
- 2-10 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to business, real estate, and/or employment matters.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently and as part of a team.
- Client-focused mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr
