A next-generation electric mobility company is seeking a talented design engineer to lead the design and development of electromechanical actuators and motion systems for advanced light electric vehicles. Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Leading the design, development, and validation of electromechanical actuators and motor-driven mechanisms.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing documentation for high-precision assemblies.
  • Integrating actuator systems with electrical (PCBAs, harnesses) and firmware teams to ensure robust performance.
  • Driving execution, supplier coordination, and prototype iteration.
  • Contribute technical leadership and mentor junior engineers across mechanical/electrical integration.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience designing electromechanical actuator or motion systems.
  • Deep expertise with motors, servo drives, motion sensors, and precision mechanisms.
  • Proven background in manufacturing and validation: DVP&R, DFMEA, supplier coordination.
  • Experience integrating actuators with electrical and firmware systems.
  • Expert-level CAD skills for complex assemblies (Catia V5/V6 preferred).
  • Strong simulation and modeling expertise (MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys, Abaqus, HyperWorks).
  • Solid foundation in material properties, thermal behavior, statics, and dynamics.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, C, or C++ for system-level integration.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-talent environments (e.g., automotive, EV, robotics, aerospace).
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
