Job Title: IT Application Solutions Architect Senior-Enterprise Solution Architect (Network Architect)

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 12+ months

Remote work location with 50% travel

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple IT projects as a member of a project team and provide the overall direction, guidance and definition of an architecture program that supports client business strategy.
• Assist in developing future-state architecture and ensure its effective adoption.
• Interface across all business areas, acting as a visionary to define the direction for future projects.
• Conceive strategies, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions; participate in all aspects of the project life cycle from kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
• Ensure applications and servers are built with best practices, reusability, and alignment with Enterprise Architecture.
• Present to the Enterprise Architecture Review Council to gain approval and ensure sustainable services and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
• 8 to 15 years of experience in multiple IT areas and 5 to 7 years of relevant technology architecture experience
• Hands-on Network Access Control (NAC) experience aligned with required years
• Hands-on Cisco ISE experience aligned with required years
• Hands-on Cisco DNA experience aligned with required years
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication

Desired Qualifications

• Strong grounding in architectural modeling, service-oriented architecture, enterprise information management and software design
• Experience as a Solution Architect for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs
• Track record of developing solutions that solve business problems
• Design and implementation experience of an SOA and services in an enterprise setting
• Transportation industry experience
• Broad IT experience in networking technologies; knowledge of EA frameworks
