Job Description

The Federal Sales Executive will own an assigned territory and drive revenue through new opportunity acquisition. The focus will be on acquiring new logos and expanding existing accounts, building strong, long-lasting customer relationships in the federal civilian sector.

Responsibilities

  1. Exceed quota and revenue targets through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing customers.
  2. Create a go-to-market (GTM) territory plan and strategic account plans, emphasizing the importance of planning for long-term success.
  3. Implement and execute a pipeline generation process that yields at least 4 times the pipeline compared to the quota.
  4. Identify, develop, and close opportunities using consultative, outcome-based selling approaches.
  5. Define and execute strategies for predictable, repeatable, and scalable sales results.
  6. Work with sales leadership to accurately forecast opportunities.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales Engineering, Legal, Product Management, Finance, Security, and Marketing to navigate complex sales cycles and exceed goals.
  8. Develop and maintain strong customer and partner relationships (VAR, SI, SP).
  9. Maintain cybersecurity expertise: understand Federal market drivers, Zero-Trust methodologies, emerging trends, and their impacts.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience with Federal Government accounts and knowledge of network security.
  • Consistent overachievement of sales quotas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical topics.
  • Willingness to be coached and ability to work well in a team environment.
