Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working on novel AI risks and threat actors engaging in cyber misuse, societal harms, weaponization, etc.
- Experience working with the technical and policy challenges of AI systems.
- Experience with using statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and prototyping.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail in a changing environment.
- Passion for innovation, technology, and Google products.
About the Job
Trust & Safety team members identify and tackle the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and partners from abuse across Google products such as Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you work with a big-picture mindset and collaborate across functions with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud at Google speed—with urgency. You take pride in promoting trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
Google’s Trust & Safety team works to earn user trust daily by fighting abuse such as malware, spam, and account hijacking. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas and protect users, advertisers, and publishers globally in multiple languages.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, pay is influenced by location, job-related skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. Responsibilities
- Analyze and solve problems using data and statistical methods.
- Identify and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Improve tools and automated systems through data analysis and technical expertise, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Review or be exposed to sensitive or violative content as part of the core role.
- Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage/holidays.
