Environmental M&A Attorney (4 Years Experience) (Multiple Locations) - Minneapol

Overview

We are seeking an environmental attorney with 4+ years of experience to join our growing M&A team and support a wide range of complex environmental regulatory matters in support of M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience advising on matters involving federal environmental laws as well as experience or strong interest in matters involving state environmental regulatory programs, including but not limited to Minnesota and Wisconsin. Substantive experience in both environmental regulatory compliance and transactional matters is a plus. We will consider candidates interested in working in any of our offices or candidates desiring to work remotely, although candidates who would be based in our Minneapolis office are preferred. While not required, we are open to considering candidates who are currently partners at a law firm or who have full or partial portable books of business with availability to also support environmental regulatory matters in M&A transactions.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of complex environmental regulatory matters in connection with M&A transactions.
• Advise on matters involving federal environmental laws.
• Engage with state environmental regulatory programs, including Minnesota and Wisconsin (as applicable).
• Leverage substantive experience in environmental regulatory compliance and transactional matters; experience in both areas is a plus.
• Collaborate with firm offices across locations or remotely, with Minneapolis-based candidates preferred.
• Potentially bring portable business or existing relationships to support environmental regulatory matters in M&A transactions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an environmental attorney.
• Experience advising on federal environmental laws.
• Interest or experience with state environmental regulatory programs, including Minnesota and Wisconsin.
• Substantive experience in environmental regulatory compliance and transactional matters is a plus.
• Willingness to work in any office or remotely; preference for Minneapolis-based candidates.
• Open to candidates who are currently partners with portable books of business and available to support M&A environmental regulatory matters.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range in Minneapolis: $225,000 – $265,000, with higher starting compensation possible based on experience and portable book of business.
• Compensation depends on experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
