Position: Emergency Medicine Faculty Physicians Insight Chicago Hospital and Medical Center is seeking full and part-time Emergency Medicine Faculty Physicians to join our ED team. We are launching a new Emergency Medicine Residency Program in urban Chicago and are looking for candidates passionate about Emergency Medicine and Resident Education. Faculty appointments are available for eligible candidates. We seek candidates aiming to develop as academic leaders in Emergency Medicine. Faculty will have access to grant funding, research associates, and GME involvement. Candidates must be ABEM-certified or board-eligible.
Our facility, formerly Mercy Hospital at 2525 S. Michigan Ave, is historic and vital to Chicago’s healthcare landscape. We are dedicated to compassionate, loving, expert, and impactful care, aiming to transform healthcare in our community. Responsibilities
Manage approximately 40,000 annual ED visits.
Work in a 25-bed ED with a separate Fast-track zone operated by APCs.
Teach residents and participate in educational conferences.
Provide compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to the community.
Engage in scholarly activities with support from our dedicated research department.
Qualifications & Requirements
Completed residency in Emergency Medicine.
ABEM certified or eligible within 3 years of residency completion.
ACLS certification required for all providers.
Experience in teaching and academic settings preferred.
Flexible scheduling with day, night, and swing shifts available.
Part-time and full-time positions available.
Competitive compensation based on hourly rates, plus benefits and CME allowance.
Malpractice insurance covered.
