The Sr. Category Manager - Technology will join the Procurement Team, focusing on strategic partnerships, cost savings, responsible sourcing, and supplier diversity. This role provides procurement expertise in strategic sourcing and category management, especially in Software, reporting to the Head of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management.
Job Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and execute long-term agreements via RFx methodologies.
- Analyze spend data and industry trends to identify and prioritize sourcing initiatives.
- Identify value and savings opportunities, processes, and best practices.
- Establish positive relationships across the business, including senior leadership, for early participation in supplier matters.
- Lead negotiations on financial and business terms, including risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing strategies based on requirements and challenges.
- Support sourcing best practices, supplier segmentation, scorecards, and business reviews.
- Lead supplier contract renewals, leveraging competitive pricing and quality, and manage supplier relationships.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive partnership objectives.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and maximize spending opportunities.
- Provide guidance on procurement strategies and complex purchasing issues as a subject matter expert.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with procurement best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities proactively, using data analysis.
- Good judgment in methods and techniques for solutions.
- Networking with senior internal and external personnel.
- Ability to work independently on daily tasks and initiate new assignments with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proven track record of cost reduction and financial benefits.
- Contract negotiation experience, especially supporting IT services like SaaS, software, and emerging tech.
- Experience managing complex sourcing projects and RFx processes.
- Ability to support large, complex deals involving software and services with specific requirements.
- Capability to interact with and present to Director/VP levels.
Relativity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This position offers a total compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The salary range is $102,000 to $152,000, with final offers based on experience, skills, and internal pay equity.
