The Sr. Category Manager - Technology will join the Procurement Team, focusing on strategic partnerships with business stakeholders to ensure optimal commercial terms, achieve cost savings, responsible sourcing, and supplier diversity. This role provides procurement expertise in strategic sourcing and category management, with a strong emphasis on Software. The position reports to the Head of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management.
Job Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and execute long-term agreements through formal RFx methodologies.
- Analyze spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives.
- Identify value and savings opportunities, processes, and best practices.
- Establish positive relationships across the business, including with senior leadership, to ensure active participation in supplier-related matters.
- Lead negotiations on financial and business terms, including commercial terms and risk mitigation for strategic contracts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, budgets, and gaps to develop sourcing strategies.
- Support sourcing best practices, including supplier segmentation, scorecards, and strategic reviews.
- Lead supplier contract renewals, leveraging competitive pricing, quality, and customer service; manage supplier relationships and reviews.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive partnership objectives.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and maximize spending opportunities.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on procurement strategies and issues as a subject matter expert.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experienced procurement professional with comprehensive knowledge of procurement best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities proactively, using data analysis when appropriate.
- Good judgment in selecting solutions methods and techniques.
- Networked with senior internal and external personnel in the field.
- Works independently on daily tasks and can initiate new assignments with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record in cost reduction and delivering financial benefits.
- Experience in contract negotiations, especially for IT services like software, SaaS, and emerging technologies.
- Experience managing complex sourcing projects and RFx processes.
- Ability to support large, complex deals involving software and services with customer requirements.
- Capability to interact with and present to Director/VP level stakeholders.
Relativity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The role offers a competitive salary, performance bonus, and incentives. The salary range is between $102,000 and $152,000, with the final offer based on experience and qualifications. Salary at the top end is unlikely to allow for significant future increases.
