A logistics company is seeking an Air Export Coordinator to join their team in Carson, CA . This position is responsible for coordinating flight schedules, managing aircraft logistics, handling documentation for air freight, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance An associates degree, 2+ years of air export and import experience, freight forwarding experience, knowledge and understanding of TSA, Hazmat, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. This is a full-time (9AM-6PM), non-exempt, in-person position, with excellent benefits and 401k.

Air Export Coordinator Duties:

-Oversee the coordination and management of air import and export shipments.

-Communicate effectively with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

-Ensure all operations adhere to local and international regulations, including customs and aviation rules.

-Assist customers with compliance issues, certification, physical inspection, and arrangements for dangerous goods packaging in compliance with regulations.

-Provide exceptional service to clients by addressing inquiries, providing shipping solutions, and ensuring satisfaction.

-Work closely with other departments, including sales and warehouse, to ensure smooth logistics operations.

-Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose solutions for improvement.

-Handle unexpected issues, such as delays or damaged cargo, with a proactive approach.

-Prepare and present regular reports on shipment status, performance metrics, and operational challenges.

-Prepare reports of transactions to facilitate billing for shippers, foreign customers, and consignees.

-Examine documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to verify the conversion of merchandise weights or volumes.

Air Export Coordinator Skills:

-Must have an associates degree or higher

-Must have 2+ years experience in Air export operations and import operations

-Must have proficiency in Micrososf Office

-Must have freight forwarding experience

-Experience with GoFreight is a Big Plus but not mandatory

-Must have knowledge and understanding of TSA, Hazmat
