Director Of Finance
The Director of Finance oversees Sumner County's Centralized Finance Department, managing accounting, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, debt management, cash management, regulatory reporting, and project/grant management.

Qualifications
- Required: Active CPA license (must transfer to Tennessee if from another state within 12 months), minimum 10 years government accounting experience, minimum 5 years supervisory experience, extensive knowledge of state/local government accounting laws and regulations, IRS rules, and GAAP, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), strong written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with Tyler Technologies Munis system, Tennessee government accounting experience, knowledge of debt instruments, budget administration, and mid-sized organization financial management
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $165,000 - $195,000
Comprehensive benefits package: health, dental, vision, life insurance, and defined benefit retirement plan
No Tennessee state income tax
