The unit has 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs. The team consists of approximately 60 staff members. Staffing ratios on the day shift include 1 charge RN, 2-3 L&D RNs, and 2-3 postpartum RNs. Night shift staffing mirrors the day shift. Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines, with a maximum of 1:2 for labor and delivery and 3:1 for postpartum. Common procedures performed in this unit include versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs. Candidates should possess flexibility, adaptability, and a kind demeanor.
