Job Title: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Labor and delivery experience Postpartum experience Description: This is a Travel RN position specializing in Labor and Delivery. The unit has 14 labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) beds and 2 operating rooms. A team of approximately 60 staff members supports the unit. Day shift typically consists of 1 charge RN, 2-3 Labor and Delivery RNs, and 2-3 Postpartum RNs. Night shift staffing is similar to the day shift. Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor and Delivery and 3:1 for Postpartum per guidelines. The unit utilizes Beacon EMR, CPN, and Meditech for electronic records. Candidates will be prioritized based on labor and delivery and postpartum experience. Additional experience in LDRP is preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include versions, cesarean sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and dilation and curettage (D&C).
