American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a busy surgical unit with night shifts and telemetry experience.Job Details•Work on a 46-bed surgical Med/Surg Tele unit,•Patient population includes trauma surgery, post bariatric and abdominal surgery, post amputation, urological issues, and cardiac overflow,•Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30,•Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday,•No call requirements,•Floating within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals may be required based on volume and census,•Uses Cerner EMR, Cerner experience required,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required,•Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (may have pending certs at time of offer),•Cerner charting experience required,•Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,•Must complete up to 8 hours of online module training prior to start,•Previous staff must be gone at least 3 years before returning as a traveler,•First-time travelers are accepted,Additional Information•Provide care for surgical patients including trauma, bariatric, abdominal, and amputation cases with telemetry monitoring,•Cardiac and medical overflow patients may be assigned based on census,•Required to complete online training modules prior to start,•Team-based environment with potential float assignments to other hospital units or nearby affiliate hospitals,•Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis,•Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed, and one holiday must be worked if time off overlaps holidays,),•hash,:• ,
