American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position with float requirements and multiple required certifications.Job Details•Hospital-based Medical/Surgical unit,•Work 12-hour night shifts, three nights per week,•Floating may be required to any facility within 60 miles or to CommonSpirit-identified float zones,•Care for a broad range of adult medical-surgical patients,•Uses Epic EMR system,Job Requirements•Active RN license (standard or compact) is required and must be in hand at time of consideration,•Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred,•Valid American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required,•NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required,•One year of recent Med/Surg RN experience preferred,•Experience with Epic charting system preferred,•Must reside at least 60 miles from all locations in applicable float zones; local candidates are not eligible,•Annual flu vaccination required for assignments between Nov 1 and March 31 (medical exemption only with physician signature),Additional Information•Provide comprehensive nursing care and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes,•Complete a broad range of duties including wound care, IV management, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection,•Educate patients and families based on individualized needs and assess effectiveness of teaching,•Delegate appropriately to non-RN personnel according to hospital and state regulations,•Participation in unit-based quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities is expected,•Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students as needed,•A signed float agreement is required acknowledging float expectations,•Assignments may not exceed one calendar year; a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment,),•hash,:• ,
