American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join a high-acuity Pediatric Cardiac ICU, offering 12-hour night shifts and requiring recent cardiac PICU experience.Job Details•Work in a 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) within a hospital setting,•Patient population includes neonates, infants, and adult congenital cardiac patients,•Care for patients undergoing open heart surgery, heart transplants, with open chests, and those who are hemodynamically compromised or in respiratory failure,•Use and document in Epic EMR,•Schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm - 7:30am), with every other weekend required,•Rotating holiday coverage is required,•Will float to NICU and general PICU units as needed,•No on-call or call back required for standard shifts,Job Requirements•Active WI or Compact RN license required,•ASN or BSN required; BSN preferred,•Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred,•Minimum 12-18 months recent experience in a high-acuity cardiac PICU required,•Level I Trauma experience highly preferred,•Strong skills in critical thinking and cardiac assessments are essential,•Experience with Epic charting system required,•Flu vaccine required; no exemptions,Additional Information•RNs coordinate and manage care for pediatric cardiac and cardiovascular surgical patients and their families,•Responsibilities include providing care for hemodynamically unstable patients and those at risk of respiratory failure,•May be assigned as unit charge RN as needed,•Scrub attire in any professional color is permitted,•Jewelry rules: only a single small nose stud and standard ear piercings allowed; other visible piercings must use clear or flesh-colored plugs,•First time travelers will be considered,•Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis,),•hash,:• ,
