American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Resource Team float position requiring Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and proficiency with titrating vasopressor drips.Job Details•Work in a hospital acute care setting as part of the ICU Resource Team,•Float to all critical care departments including Intermediate ICU and Broadway ICU, as well as occasional medical-surgical units as needed,•Manage 1-3 critically ill patients per assignment with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU,•Care for a diverse patient population including neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical cases,•Utilize EPIC EMR, Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG feeding pumps, IABP, EVD, Phillips and AvaSure patient monitoring systems, and Impella,•Structured 32-hour orientation covering hospital, primary, and float units,•Rotating night shifts, including 8 and 12 hour shifts, with occasional 4 hour shifts; every other weekend and holiday required,•No on-call responsibilities,•Must call in daily prior to shift to confirm specific unit assignment,Job Requirements•Active ND or compact RN license,•Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications,•Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center with at least 250 beds,•Proven ability to independently manage critically ill patients,•Demonstrated experience with titrating vasopressor drips,•Epic charting experience required,•Must not reside within 60 miles of the facility; reduced pay rate applies to those living 60-80 miles away,Additional Information•Responsibilities include medication management of vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropes, and antiarrhythmics, as well as assisting with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and line placement,•Assigned to various specialty ICU teams each shift based on facility need,•Employee never works alone; strong team support provided,•Navy blue scrubs required,•Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis,•Candidates with previous permanent employment at this health system must have been separated for at least 6 months,),•hash,:• ,
