Production Lead
As a Production Lead, you will direct and supervise production line personnel in collaboration with the line mechanic. You will assist with production and packaging tasks, including operating forklifts, packaging, and providing support wherever needed.
Job Description
Direct and supervise production line personnel alongside the line mechanic. Assist with production and packaging tasks. Operate forklifts and perform general production tasks. Act as a relief operator and relief production worker as needed. Train regular and temporary personnel for their line positions. Assist with preparing production reports, skid tags, and monitoring downtime, weight check, and scrap reports. Fill in when there is a personnel shortage or when an employee leaves the line. Ensure cans are properly labeled and cartons are glued and coded. Inspect the entire line to ensure all components are removed before the run begins. Monitor line employees' adherence to break and lunch periods to maximize line run time. Attend daily production meetings.
Essential Skills
5-10 years of production/manufacturing experience. Experience in production management and continuous improvement. General labor and production skills. Proficiency in forklift operation and machine operation. Lead experience in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual is a plus. Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement. Flexibility to assist wherever needed within production. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment. Ability to train and manage both regular and temporary personnel. Proficient in preparing production reports, including scrap, rework, and incomplete runs. Familiarity with monitoring downtime, weight checks, and scrap reports.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic environment that manufactures a wide range of aerosol household products, paints, insecticides, automotive, bench, craft, and personal care products. The position requires working the 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
