Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing Tier 1 automotive manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations at a key production facility. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced, metrics-driven environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead all plant-level financial operations including month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Supervise accounting, payroll, A/R, and A/P functions to ensure compliance and accuracy. Maintain robust internal controls and safeguard company assets. Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, variance reports, and audits. Support inventory management and cost accounting processes, ensuring proper valuation and reporting. Analyze operational performance, identify financial trends, and support cost-reduction initiatives. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements for financial and payroll reporting. Serve as a liaison between the plant and corporate finance, providing timely and relevant data to senior leadership. Mentor and develop the accounting team; promote continuous improvement in financial processes. Contribute to special projects and capital expenditure analysis as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred. 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven leadership in managing plant-level financials and direct reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel and ERP system skills. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating cross-functionally. Effective under pressure and capable of managing multiple priorities.
