ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

WV BOARD OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE

KANAWHA COUNTY

SALARY: $30,000 - $35,000

Position Location: 405 Capitol Street, Suite 800, Charleston, WV 25301 Responsibilities: This position requires computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Google Mail. The successful candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, and be able to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

Job duties include the following:

Answers telephones, assists with requests and relays messages promptly. Opens mail and records into database daily. Reviews email and contact forms and conducts appropriate follow-up. Maintains licensure database files for board's licensees and performs appropriate updates. Collects invoices and submits through the state WVOASIS system for reimbursement. Prepares check deposits for review by the Executive Director. Processes travel and reimbursement forms. Assists the Licensure Specialist in the processing of applications when necessary. Conducts audits of Continuing Medical Education compliance. Processes requests for Corporations and PLLCs. Receives complaint calls from the public, and provides complainants with the appropriate mechanism for resolving complaints. Types correspondence, board agenda, and minutes as instructed by the Executive Director. Prepares materials for board meetings. Organizes workflow to ensure the timely processing of reports and payment of bills. Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Google Mail.

The successful candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, able to work independently, find solutions to problems, and be able to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
