Project Engineer
to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful municipal infrastructure projects, from planning and design through permitting, construction, and project close-out. Projects range from small wastewater collection or water distribution projects to large MGD water and wastewater treatment facilities. As part of our collaborative team, you'll gain comprehensive project experience, develop client relationships, and contribute directly to water and wastewater treatment projects across North and Central Florida. Responsibilities include:
Assist in planning, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and utility systems. Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, permitting documents, and cost estimates. Perform technical analysis, hydraulic modeling, and report preparation. Engage with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders. Participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction oversight. Manage multiple projects while adhering to schedules and budgets. Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering; Graduate degree is a plus. Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months. 2+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering or municipal infrastructure preferred. Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated. Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, or similar software is a plus. Familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet is a plus. Benefits:
