OSP/Communications Engineer I Location:
BURNSVILLE MN 55306 Duration:
6+ Months Contract Responsibilities: Design outside plant work orders, providing administrative and field support to the outside plant provisioning process, and be familiar with communication outside plant concepts such as copper cable, fiber optic cable, and coax cable. Utilize facility analysis processes to select areas for rehabilitation, coordinate field work, prepare work order drawings, and update work order records accurately and timely. Analyze reports and provide work order estimated expenditures or placement and joint use memos. Understand telephone industry standards, interpret mechanized assignment records, PC applications, OSP records, and computer-aided drafting systems. Interact with all online computer systems required by Frontier. Understand infrastructure plans (highway, sewer, bridge, etc.) and survey information to avoid conflicts with existing and proposed underground structures, site obstacles, and ensure proper installation within easements and public rights of way. Comply with all municipal and government requirements related to the work.
