Position: Distribution Project Engineer We are seeking a Distribution Project Engineer to: Work under the direction of Project Managers. Conduct analyses to develop design options, perform modeling and calculations, and prepare design sketches and concept drawings for medium voltage overhead and underground power systems. Collaborate with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop construction drawings in accordance with standards, safety codes, and project specifications. Assist in preparing cost estimates or specifications. Participate in field reviews or construction observation. Create electrical layout designs, cable heating calculations, fuse coordination, overhead and underground designs, and develop bills of materials, considering construction requirements. Occasional short-term travel (1-5 days) may be required; longer assignments (several weeks) may be needed infrequently. Conduct QA/QC on work of other engineers or coordinators. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of four years of experience in medium-voltage or distribution-level design. Experience with engineering software such as CYMCAP, CYMEDIST, Milsoft Windmil, PLS-Pole, SKM, or similar tools. Graduate degree or certificate in Electrical Engineering focusing on power systems. Experience designing medium voltage systems for large industrial facilities. Strong communication and organizational skills. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sector-specific design software like PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit. Commitment to our employee-owned culture.
