Job Description Responsibilities:
Migrate databases from HP Unix to Solaris OS Platform.
Upgrade databases to Oracle 12c.
Install, configure RAC databases for high availability.
Provide support during all stages of database implementation and deployments.
Participate in project meetings to understand application and database requirements.
Work independently to resolve complex Oracle issues.
Run diagnostic tools to identify database performance bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
Tune SQL queries in collaboration with development teams.
Troubleshoot Oracle performance and other issues independently or with other DBAs.
Manage backup and recovery for Oracle instances.
Plan and manage database and resource capacity.
Implement and enforce database security in accordance with best practices, SOX regulations, and company policies.
Install new Oracle instances and perform upgrades.
Set up and resolve issues with Oracle Data Guard environments.
Requirements:
Minimum 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
Proficiency with Oracle RAC (design, configuration, installation, tuning), including Oracle 12c.
Experience with Golden Gate technology.
Proficiency with ASM, RMAN, and Active Data Guard database technologies.
Strong production support and customer service skills.
Experience with Oracle Database administration on HP/Solaris and Linux environments.
Knowledge of Oracle database tuning and performance tools such as statspack, AWR, ADDM, ASH, and UNIX commands.
Experience with Oracle backup and recovery procedures.
Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control.
Understanding of enterprise data architecture principles.
Ability to develop data requirements and configure database parameters accordingly.
Qualifications Experience with system administration of the following products (listed in order of preference):
At least 1 year of hands-on Oracle Agile/PLM R9.3.3 installation, administration, and support experience.
At least 1 year of hands-on Oracle GRC (AACG 8.6.5) installation, administration, and support experience.
At least 2 years of hands-on Oracle EBS (R11.5, 12.1, 12.2) installation, administration, and support experience.
