Manager, Financial Reporting - Western Union

We’re seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting in our Western Union Business Solution Financial Reporting team, based in our Denver, Colorado office (global headquarters). Key responsibilities include: Leading a seasoned team in preparing audited financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other local standards, serving as the planning contact for external auditors Reviewing periodic unaudited financial statements and regulatory filings essential for maintaining operating licenses Managing complex general ledger accounting tasks Supporting team development in technical accounting expertise Qualifications needed: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Active CPA license 5-7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS experience preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Higher workload during reporting seasons Experience in designing controls and procedures Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Technologically adept with a desire to learn new tools Preferred additional skills: Experience with income tax provisions and transfer pricing across jurisdictions Experience in multi-currency accounting environments Ability to identify and implement process improvements Proactive leadership in critical projects Strong collaboration skills with Tax, Treasury, Finance, Internal Audit, and Legal teams Experience with enterprise financial systems like Oracle and HFM Benefits include: Competitive global pay and benefits Unique experience with a market leader in FX payment solutions Work within a diverse, global team About Western Union: The Payments Business Unit of Western Union is a leading provider of international business payments and foreign exchange, supporting over 130 currencies and operating in over 200 countries.
