Salary starting at $80,000 based on experience.
Based in Kennesaw, GA - Hybrid.
I. Job Purpose And Core Tasks
The Senior Accountant role is a role with reporting into the Controller in Kennesaw, GA. The Senior Accountant will work in all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including bookkeeping, month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis but with an emphasis on the AR process. The Senior Accountant will also assist in reporting, the annual budget process, and the annual audits.
II. Minimum Knowledge, Education And Skill Requirements

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP Business One) and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with month-end close, financial analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
• Experience in the medical device industry and with inventory accounting is a plus
  

III. Essential Functions

• Process the daily/weekly/monthly entries of the accounting department with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and all associated tasks
• Work closely with Accounting and Operations department leaders to identify and explain discrepancies while assisting in developing strategies for improvement and growth
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting regulations
• Manage inventory and revenue accounting processes
• Perform monthly and year-end close processes
• Assist with audits and tax filings
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management when needed
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify trends and opportunities within the organization to improve operations and financial results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures
