Our facility in Newburyport Massachusetts has an opening for a 1st Shift Receiving Team Lead shift hours are 7:00am -3:30 pm Monday- Thursday

Summary

Provide support and guidance to: Shipping/Receiving Selectors as they perform all of the functions on the dock floor. Including, but not limited to: inspecting trailers, temperatures, lot #'s, loading and unloading safely, utilization of the Salvo System and established supporting Safety practices, and completing all paperwork as required. Monitor/Coordinate and ship daily overnight shipments through AIT and UPS Train and develop subordinates on specific assignments such as pallet inverter, receiving, shipping, FIFO, selecting, prep supply, fruit request, corrugated requisition, etc. Address personnel concerns as they present themselves Lead change with team via improved processes, drive savings for department/company and team development Ensure daily tasks are complete and accurate Create and support team projects to drive efficiency Knowledge of all jobs in department and able to cover all positions in the department Run open order report for receiving, ensure all receipts are in and accurate Maintaining daily Finished Goods and Packaging Cycle Count Program (including but not limited to spreadsheets, cycle count adjustments, recounts. Conduct physical inventories Freezer Selectors - coordinate and support all activities including but not limited to order picking, rotation, organization and cleaning. Drivers make sure pickups and deliveries are arranged properly and efficiently. Warehouse Clerk ensure all transactions are processed in JD Edwards, DSI, and other requirements on time and accurate. Must adhere to the plant's HACCP plans Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

Participate in the safety program and always make safety the top priority Communicate with carriers and offsite warehouses to establish delivery schedules and pickups Communicate with Company for all essential issues to support a highly functioning warehouse Complete all transactions in the day they occur as much as possible Maintain the integrity, and accuracy of the Finished Goods and Corrugate Inventories. Assist in the coordination of all common carrier deliveries and pickups Support the partnership with production, purchasing and scheduling. Assist in ensuring accurate usage of DSI and JD Edwards to maintain inventory accuracy Participate in other meetings as requested Maintain a clean and organized warehouse Participate in the safety program and always make safety the top priority Participation in Continuous Improvement Cost Out projects Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent (2-year college degree/business preferred) 2-4 years Warehouse experience Forklift and pallet jack skills and certification Strong level of competency in JD Edwards, DSI, and MS Office Leadership skills, analytical ability, integrity, initiative, objectivity, creativity, interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Must possess organization and delegation skills
