Senior Solutions Architect - Health Insurance Large Group
to join our national Healthcare & Life Sciences team. Candidates can be based anywhere within the continental US, Midwest and East Coast locations preferred, some travel is required.
Job Overview:
A Health Insurance Senior Solutions Architect is expected to have deep experience and knowledge across business processes and technologies supporting the lifecycle of Large Group sales and benefit administration functions, often referred to as "Quote to Card. This includes all aspects of the sales processes, product configuration and quoting, document generation, contracting, implementation, hand-off and renewals. The Senior Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills.
In particular, the Senior Solutions Architect will have substantial experience in translating business needs from the Large Group sales team into specific, addressable business process and technology requirements, providing relevant strategic guidance in the assessment and prioritization of those requirements, and executing against technology programs to deliver those requirements into operational status.
You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.
You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor junior architects and other delivery team members.

Responsibilities
Own and orchestrate the process of determining business needs from the Large Group sales teams of our clients, identifying how and where those business needs are best met with the technology options available (including Salesforce), and guiding the team in translating requirements into the technology implementation plan. Guide and collaborate with a Business Process Engineer to document current and future state opportunities. Have the experience to act as a thought leader and source of innovation and creativity for the development team in key domains of large group sales and benefit administration where technology has the potential to drive substantial new value - e.g.
reporting, analytics & visualization self-service tools and capabilities cross-system integration approaches and best practices applications of AI/ Automation to support specific uses case in the above areas (e.g. predictive approaches to lead scoring, cross selling etc.)
Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation. Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains. Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features. Project and solution estimation and team structure definition Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions. Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production. Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks. Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications. Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams. Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change Qualifications
Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience with healthcare including at least 7 years of experience with large group payer(s) Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight. At least 5 project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) including hands on experience with workflows for substantive segments of the sales through implementation process for large group payer(s) - is a MUST. At least 5 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency; or has acted in a leadership role at a health insurance company drawing requirements from the highly-matrixed business stakeholders Have a excellent understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture. Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition. Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction, specifically in relation to developing market leading capabilities for large group sellers and their target buyers. Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point. Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices. Proven track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes. Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects. Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents. Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members. Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution. Familiarity with AI-enhanced platform is a plus. A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected. Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams. Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills. Experience working on multiple concurrent projects. Experience leading internal initiatives. Excellent problem-solving skills. Be independent and self-driven. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Must be open to travel. The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
