About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in FP&A to lead its financial activities and strategy. The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, plans, and policies, as well as overseeing the preparation of financial statements, monitoring internal controls, and coordinating the annual audit process. This role also involves reviewing grant budgets, assisting with risk management, and participating in key decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational execution. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing critical financial and operational information to support actionable recommendations for both strategy and operations.
The ideal CFO for the company will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, with a preference for a CPA and MBA. A minimum of 10 years' of accounting experience in a management role is required, along with proficiency in financial software and tools. Strong financial acumen, including a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, is essential. The CFO will also be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and be involved in communication with lenders and banks. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities such as maintaining and preparing monthly financial reporting, handling property and liability insurances, and establishing training and coaching for the finance department.
