What you'll do...
As Director of Raw Material Strategy, you will lead Walmart’s global sourcing strategy for upstream materials critical to the company’s food, consumables, and general merchandise businesses. You will be responsible for ensuring surety of supply of key inputs, implementing innovative sourcing models, and building resilient supplier networks that align with Walmart’s sustainability and traceability goals.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, sustainability, compliance, and legal teams, as well as external partners and suppliers, to mitigate risk and unlock long-term value across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute upstream sourcing strategies
for raw materials and ingredients in support of the total Walmart enterprise. Design and scale innovative sourcing models and agreement structures
that ensure secure, cost-effective, and sustainable access to critical raw materials. Align cross-functional stakeholders
(e.g., merchandising, sustainability, compliance, legal) around sourcing priorities using industry insights and robust business cases. Deliver actionable visibility into upstream and traceability data
by partnering with Tech and Product teams to develop scalable, insight-driven solutions. Represent Walmart in strategic internal and external forums , advocating for raw material resilience, innovation, and traceability.
