A respected law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in construction defect litigation to join its team. This role provides an opportunity for career growth, mentorship, and hands-on experience in managing cases, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, exceptional legal writing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Location

Duties

Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents Assist in case preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials Maintain client communication and provide updates on case progress Handle document reviews and manage discovery responses Represent clients in court for motions, hearings, and minor trials Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risk assessment Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies Meet assigned billable hour targets through efficient case management Stay updated on legal developments through continuing legal education (CLE) programs Contribute to firm initiatives and team projects Requirements

110 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably with construction defect cases Strong understanding of state and federal laws related to construction and general liability litigation Experience managing discovery, drafting legal documents, and preparing for court appearances Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications

Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida Skills
