Our client is seeking a talented and technical Senior DevOps Engineer capable of leading process and toolset implementation to enable Continuous Integration/Deployment environments and workflows. The Senior DevOps Engineer must be innovative, energetic, and driven to provide superior customer experiences. You will leverage your consulting skills, technical ability, development knowledge, and architecture strategy to assess customer needs and implement DevOps methodologies. This role requires coordination with Developers, QA, Operations, Release Managers, and enterprise leaders in a DevOps fashion. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple IT disciplines, including application development, infrastructure engineering, and operations (monitoring, configuration, system administration, database administration). Responsibilities Establish enterprise-grade CI/CD toolchain services including GitHub Enterprise, CloudBees Jenkins, and Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager. Integrate development, QA, and security testing tools into the enterprise toolchain. Upgrade, maintain, and improve the DevOps infrastructure. Automate application build and deployment pipelines using DevOps tools. Support traditional release management while adopting DevOps principles. Ensure service availability, integrity, and stability.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. At least 2 years of experience in Agile software development using Java or .NET. Minimum of 5 years of experience with Jenkins installation, configuration, and administration, including Jenkins Pipeline and Groovy scripting. Experience with CloudBees Jenkins is preferred. At least 2 years of experience with source code management systems like Git, SVN, or AccuRev. GitHub Enterprise is preferred. Experience integrating testing tools like Selenium, JMeter, and security tools like Fortify into CI processes. Experience with build tools such as Ant and Maven is desirable. Systems administration experience in Linux/UNIX with Shell, Python, Ruby. Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, SSH, etc.), load balancers, firewalls, and storage. Ability to produce technical documentation and diagrams. Effective communication skills across different audiences.
Big Plus
Understanding of SOA (REST APIs, microservices) and API development. Experience with large-scale application deployment and automated deployment solutions. Knowledge of cloud-native platforms like Cloud Foundry. Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Docker, Puppet, Chef).
