Principal Field Clinical Engineer - North East at Medtronic. This remote role supports cross-functional collaboration and requires up to 70% travel to enhance project success. The Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business focuses on mapping and ablation for cardiac arrhythmias and Arrhythmia disease management (including Atrial Fibrillation). Introduce, implement, and follow up on clinical studies; support R&D in evaluating concepts for new products and modifying existing devices. Serve as a technical resource between engineering, clinical research, and the medical community; provide ongoing clinical study support. Provide technical assistance to clinical study sites as the liaison between engineering and the medical community. Be present at study sites for investigational device studies during ablation procedures to guide physicians on protocol requirements and ensure high-quality data collection. Identify investigators, present protocols, assist with product applications, and submit status reports on programs. Assist Clinical Research studies by identifying investigators, qualifying sites, performing activation duties, providing training, encouraging enrollment, ensuring data quality, and closing studies. Develop expertise in clinical and market released products and act as a local technical/clinical resource for Medtronic and customers. Build and leverage field relationships to drive clinical activity and maintain customer focus. Provide feedback from clinical sites on product performance for engineering designs or enhancements, and evaluate concepts for new products or modifications as a technical liaison. Provide prospective and real-time feedback to study management on study design and documentation. Educate customers, sales partners, and internal Clinical Research staff on the technology. Must Have (Minimum Requirements)
Bachelor's degree; or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant clinical research/field clinical engineer/clinical sales experience Minimum of 7 years of clinical research, clinical specialist/field clinical engineer/clinical sales experience (or equivalent) Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience at Medtronic or within the medical device industry Experience in management of clinical devices; electrophysiology and cardiac ablation device training strongly preferred Experience in Cath lab, biomedical engineering, hospital/clinic or medical sales Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory guidelines for clinical trials Experience in clinical studies and/or trial site management/protocols Experience collaborating with cross-functional clinical partners, physicians, and medical sales colleagues Travel

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Compensation varies by experience, education, market conditions, and location. U.S. salary range: $128,000.00 – $192,000.00, plus eligibility for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
