Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $135,000 to $180,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Lead all core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance.

Supervise and guide the HR and recruitment teams to meet departmental goals and deliver excellent service.

Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals and foster a high-performance culture.

Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance plans, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.

Collaborate with leadership to design and improve HR programs, policies, and systems that support employee engagement and retention.

Requirements

A minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance, and nonprofit sector practices.

Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, and benefits management systems; experience with performance management tools is a plus.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills with a flexible and proactive approach.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Senior-level HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or PHR is a plus.

Commitment to serving vulnerable populations and supporting mission-driven work.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience in budgeting and workforce planning.

Ability to coach managers, promote diversity and inclusion, and foster a culture of feedback and development.
