Salary: $100,000 - $170,000 per year
What you will do
Handle commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, business torts, and partnership issues
Work on cases involving bankruptcy, foreclosure, mechanics liens, and construction-related claims
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda
Take and defend depositions; participate in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal teams to develop and execute litigation strategies
Ensure deadlines are met and maintain high-quality work under pressure
Qualifications
J.D. and licensed to practice in Illinois (or eligible for admission)
3–5 years of litigation experience preferred, though all qualified candidates will be considered
Prior exposure to bankruptcy, construction, mechanics liens, or foreclosure litigation is preferred but open to all civil litigation backgrounds
Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Comfortable with a 1800-hour annual billable requirement and one in-office day per week
