Labor & Employment Attorney position with an established, women-owned law firm. Hybrid in Sacramento, CA. Full-time. Practice area: Labor & Employment. Provide legal counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, employee classification, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace safety. Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation. Draft and review employment policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements. Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints, harassment, and misconduct. Negotiate settlements and dispute resolutions on behalf of clients. Prepare and file motions, responses, and other legal documents related to employment litigation. Stay current on changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure clients' compliance and provide proactive legal advice. Qualifications
1+ years of experience in labor and employment law. Strong knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations. Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload, from initial consultation through resolution. Experience representing clients in labor arbitrations, administrative hearings, and litigation. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to clients on complex employment matters. Strong writing and research skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active CA bar membership. Benefits
