Overview We have partnered with an established law firm that is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join their growing team. This role provides the chance to work on complex legal matters, offer strategic counsel, and represent employers in both advisory and litigation capacities. Key Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, employee classification, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace safety.
Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including state and federal court cases, arbitration, and mediation.
Draft and review employment policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements.
Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Assist with labor relations, including union organizing, collective bargaining, and grievance handling.
Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints, harassment, and misconduct.
Negotiate settlements and dispute resolutions on behalf of clients.
Prepare and file motions, responses, and other legal documents related to employment litigation.
Stay current on changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure clients' compliance and provide proactive legal advice.
Train and educate clients on legal best practices in the workplace, including employee management and compliance.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in litigation or employment law.
Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload, from initial consultation through resolution.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong writing and research skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in CA.
