725 American Avenue, Waukesha, WI, 53188 Key Responsibilities: Welcome and assist visitors and patients in person. Provide outstanding customer service through telephone and video communication. Handle confidential patient information with utmost care and discretion. Assess urgent needs and prioritize tasks accordingly. Demonstrate technical proficiency in departmental procedures. Accurately enter and update patient demographic and financial details to ensure prompt registration. Collect necessary patient forms and confirm appropriate signatures; photocopy or scan documents as needed. Inform patients of their financial responsibilities, collect payments, and maintain daily cash balance. Collaborate with various departments (Finance, Scheduling, Clinical) to ensure all patient requirements are met. Guide patients with wayfinding instructions and respond to hospital information requests. Coordinate patient admissions and manage bed assignments as necessary. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (or higher). At least 1 year of customer service experience in a professional environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Ability to attend 6-8 weeks of training during daytime hours. Availability for 20 hours per week, with shifts between 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, including every other weekend. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records. Background in a medical office or hospital admissions/registration. Familiarity with medical terminology. Essential Soft Skills: Exceptional customer service abilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings. Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $27.69, depending on experience and qualifications. We adhere to all applicable minimum wage laws.
