A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team\'s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Our team’s mission is to provide a seamless and unparalleled product experience by assuring the quality of Google\'s Home and Health products. We act as a critical bridge between our customers and product development, leading and driving quality through the entire product life-cycle. By translating field and customer insights into a new bar for quality, and by partnering cross-functionally, and driving accountability via key metrics, we not only enable our business but also ensure the best possible experience for our users. As a Product Quality Technical Program Manager for Google\'s Home and Health devices, you will represent the customer within the product organization. This is a highly impactful and cross-functional role, bridging the gap between field insights and product development. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and support teams to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly influence the product roadmap and enable our business to provide a seamless and unparalleled user experience. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google\'s various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user\'s interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that compensation details listed in US role postings reflect base salary only, not including bonus, equity, or benefits. Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact. Lead and drive the product quality strategy throughout the entire life-cycle, from early concept to end-of-life. Translate critical customer and field data into actionable insights, advocating a higher quality bar for our devices. Identify issues, define key quality metrics, and drive accountability across teams. Impact the business by minimizing returns, improving product health, and shaping our next generation of products. Google is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We are committed to building a workforce representative of the users we serve, creating a culture of belonging, and providing equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, or other protected status as required by law.
