Overview Tesla is looking for an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join the Consumer Litigation team within our dynamic Legal team. The Sr. Counsel will represent and defend Tesla in all forms of single plaintiff consumer matters related to vehicle and energy products.
What You'll Do
Represent and defend Tesla in all aspects of a high-volume, fast-paced single-plaintiff consumer litigation docket.
Factual investigation, analyze legal issues, and independently develop litigation strategies.
Respond to demands, complaints, and other pleadings, and represent Tesla at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials and other proceedings.
Identify and prepare witnesses for deposition, arbitration or trial.
Support, advise and train business partners on legal issues.
Supervise and partner with outside counsel on select matters.
What You'll Bring
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
California state bar attorney license
6+ years litigation experience, preferably independently managing a large docket. Experience in warranty, lemon law is a plus
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent analytical, critical, and strategic thinking skills
Business-savvy, creative approach to problem-solving
Desire to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits Expected Compensation $172,000 - $282,000 per year plus cash and stock awards and benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.
