Import and Export Compliance Management: Responsible for managing the U.S. import and export clearance of the company's optical module products and related materials, ensuring strict compliance with regulations from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and other agencies. Accurately complete product classification, valuation, and origin determination. Tariff Strategy and Cost Optimization: Research and apply applicable free trade agreements, tariff exemptions (e.g., Section 301 exemptions for Chinese products), and duty drawback programs tailored to optical module products to effectively reduce import tariff costs. Trade Compliance Process Execution: Maintain and optimize customs operation procedures to ensure data accuracy in the Global Trade Management (GTM) system. Handle import/export document reviews and record-keeping. Risk Response and Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for government inquiries and audits. Assist in internal compliance audits, identify risks, and implement improvement measures. Internal Collaboration and Support: Work closely with procurement, logistics, sales, and R&D teams to provide professional customs advice for new projects and products, ensuring business decisions align with trade regulations. Regulatory Monitoring: Closely monitor changes in U.S. trade policies and regulations, assess their impact on optical module operations, and promptly report to management. Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in customs or trade compliance, preferably in the technology industry (especially optoelectronics or electronic products). Education & Major: Bachelors degree or higher in supply chain, international trade, business, or a related field. Professional Knowledge: Proficient in U.S. customs import/export regulations and procedures. Familiarity with classification rules for electromechanical products (e.g., optical modules) is a plus. A U.S. Customs Broker License is preferred. Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks. Personal Attributes: Integrity, meticulousness, a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent cross-departmental communication and collaboration skills. Seniority level
