Chicago, IL The Senior Sales Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of organizational development strategies/initiatives and training specializing in sales enablement, efficiency, and effectiveness. The incumbent also participates in a variety of organizational development of learning strategies to assist with overall sales development such as Onboarding, New Hire Orientation, Certification, Existing Rep Development, Sales Manager Development and overall Sales Organization Engagement, Enablement and Effectiveness. Chicago is the preferred location for this role. What You’ll Do
Ensures the development and implementation of organizational development strategies specializing within sales, prioritizing efforts and resources toward increased sales effectiveness and ensuring total alignment within the overall scope of the employee career cycle by: Partnering with business leaders in the Commercial Organization to determine the most imperative business initiatives and organizational issues and areas that can benefit from improved organizational systems and/or training programs Assesses each phase of the sales team career cycle, including, on-boarding, technical/leadership training, ongoing development, performance evaluation, and career progression to ensure that a comprehensive and holistic view of the career cycle is properly maintained and recommend improvements or changes as necessary Planning, designing, updating, and executing training and development programs, using instructional design techniques and appropriate training mediums, such as classroom training, role-play, on-the-job training, online training, meetings, conferences, and workshops Partnering with internal subject matter experts, vendors and instructional designers to design a comprehensive training programs, supported by solid learning experiences in order to support leadership and organizational development strategies for sales and customer needs Provide direction and support to the Sales Operations Team including Field Training Team Drive SalesForce.com adoption and Sales Enablement Platform implementation and optimization Track budgets and negotiate contracts that pertain to training and development strategy for the organization What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated knowledge of established organizational development and training practices, including needs assessment, instructional design, employee engagement, leadership training, and performance management Demonstrated skill in the design and application of performance metrics development measurement and evaluation tools Proficiency with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods Demonstrated skill with classroom facilitation to make clear and persuasive presentations and facilitate large group meetings Skilled ability to provide business needs analysis and strategic planning with senior leaders Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines and demanding quality execution Demonstrated ability to take initiative in providing new ideas to improve process efficiencies Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, or a related field (Master’s preferred) 4+ years managing a team and using coaching best practices to increase team effectiveness 4 or more years of training experience designing, developing, and delivering curriculum on an organizational level, including sales and sales leadership Successful experience with a large-scale sales effectiveness initiative Experience with large scale project and using best practices of project management Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools Experience with training design Training accreditations and/or certificates a plus What You’ll Receive
