Sr. Manager Sales Learning and Development

Location: Chicago, IL (preferred) The Senior Sales Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of organizational development strategies/initiatives and training specializing in sales enablement, efficiency, and effectiveness. The role supports onboarding, new hire orientation, certification, existing rep development, sales manager development, and overall sales organization engagement, enablement, and effectiveness. What You’ll Do:

Develop and implement organizational development strategies for sales, prioritizing initiatives to increase sales effectiveness and align with the employee career cycle. Partner with business leaders to identify critical initiatives and areas that can benefit from improved organizational systems and training programs. Assess each phase of the sales career cycle (on-boarding, training, development, performance evaluation, career progression) and recommend improvements as needed. Design, update, and deliver training programs using instructional design techniques and various mediums (classroom, role-play, on-the-job, online, meetings, workshops). Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, vendors, and instructional designers to create comprehensive training programs supporting leadership and organizational development for sales and customer needs. Provide direction and support to the Sales Operations Team including Field Training Team. Drive Salesforce.com adoption and Sales Enablement Platform implementation and optimization. Track budgets and negotiate contracts related to training and development strategy. What You’ll Bring:

Knowledge of organizational development and training practices (needs assessment, instructional design, engagement, leadership training, performance management). Ability to design and apply performance metrics and evaluation tools. Proficiency with multimedia training platforms and methods. Strong classroom facilitation and ability to present to large groups. Ability to perform business needs analysis and strategic planning with senior leaders. Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments with deadlines and quality execution. Initiative to propose ideas for process improvements. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, or related field; Master’s preferred. 4+ years managing a team and coaching to improve effectiveness. 4+ years designing, developing, and delivering organizational-level training, including sales and sales leadership. Experience with large-scale sales effectiveness initiatives and project management. Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools; training design; training accreditations a plus. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $148,900.00 to $193,600.00. Placement depends on experience, skills, geography, internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits, and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
