Senior Finance Manager

to join our dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role reports to the Director of GTM Finance and partners closely with the leaders of Sales and Marketing, supporting all aspects of GTM Finance including forecasting, reporting and analysis of OpEx, Sales Commissions, Headcount and KPIs for these organizations to help these business units optimize performance and deliver on short and long-term growth objectives. Location: Walnut Creek or Cupertino, CA.

Opportunity Wind River is seeking a

Senior Finance Manager

to join our dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role reports to the Director of GTM Finance and partners closely with the leaders of Sales and Marketing, supporting all aspects of GTM Finance including forecasting, reporting and analysis of OpEx, Sales Commissions, Headcount and KPIs for these organizations to help these business units optimize performance and deliver on short and long-term growth objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Key finance partner to Sales & Marketing, offering analysis, insights, data-driven recommendations.

Manage the financial planning processes for these functions including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.

Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting packages in coordination with accounting and corporate finance teams.

Support continuous process improvement.

Collaborate with Corporate FP&A and other functional finance teams to ensure alignment with company-wide goals and consistent financial practices.

Provide materials and analysis for leadership reviews, business updates, and presentations.

Identify/mitigate financial risks while helping to surface opportunities for operational efficiency.

Partner with the Sales and Sales Operations team during the annual planning process to ensure alignment between the sales quotas and the company’s financial goals.

Perform Ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed.

Forecast accuracy for supported business units

Efficiency and productivity KPIs across the Sales and Marketing functions

Timeliness and quality of financial deliverables

Stakeholder satisfaction and cross-functional partnerships

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Move with urgency/responsive mindset

Comfortable operating at both the management and tactical levels

Strong communication skills and team player across various functions

Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines

Curious, proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented

Take personal accountability for decisions and actions

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance

GTM finance experience within a software organization

Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Adaptive Insights, Forma.ai, Salesforce, or Tableau is a plus

Experience operating in US based multinational or matrixed environment. Global experience is a plus

Must reside in either Cupertino, CA or Walnut Creek, CA areas with ability to be present on site at least 3 days/weekly.

Compensation The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $165,200 to $198,000 plus a bonus for Cupertino, CA residents, and $184,600 to $220,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company\'s plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
