Location: San Francisco, California | Employment Type: Full-Time | Minimum Experience: Mid-level | Compensation: $60k-$90k DOE
Responsibilities
Support attorneys handling removal defense and litigation before the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts
Communicate with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases
Oversee the status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems
Prepare filings for Adjustment of Status, Asylum, Naturalization, and other administrative applications before the Department of Home Security (USCIS, CBP, ICE) and U.S Department of State, and defensive applications for relief before the Immigration Courts
Follow internal intake procedures after client retains our firm
Qualifications
At least 2 years (or more) of Immigration Law paralegal experience strongly preferred
Previous experience as a paralegal or paralegal certificate
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Experience with Family-Based petitions, citizenship, Humanitarian, EOIR and other applications is significant plus
Facility with learning software (case management, billing, Adobe, Word)
