Overview

We are seeking an Acoustic Engineer at GoerTek Santa Clara office to work on consumer electronics optical products. The engineer in this position serves as the primary technical point of contact and in-house expert for a wide range of products, and acts as the interface between the company and its customers. He or she will guide the audio product development process, and work with our factory R&D team, production engineering, and other teams to introduce new products, improve design performance, and solve acoustic related issues arising in production. This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict other tasks that may be assigned. Key Responsibilities

Create and review product specifications; create and publish application notes, research papers, and presentations and reports. Guide and assist the R&D and engineer team of the company to satisfy customers’ requirements; provide technical training to resellers, and distributors, and internal personnel. Conduct transducer design work in partnership with the R&D team – conduct computer modeling, predict and optimize performance, review and analyses measurement results and work to troubleshoot issues, and present results and findings. Help the company to introduce new products applying cutting-edge acoustic technology and assist Sales Team to secure business. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in acoustics, audio engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering field 5+ years or equivalent experience in speaker transducer design Deep understanding and rich experiences in acoustic transducer design and development Experience with customers in designing audio components and/or audio accessories applying expertise in consumer audio and mobile communications to complete challenging projects Written and verbal communication skills, including project planning, documentation of technical requirements, and technical presentations Expertise with audio test systems (SoundCheck, Klippel, Audio Precision, IQaudio, B&K, HATS or similar) Familiar with MATLAB, PSPICE, ProE software packages Familiar with finite element analysis (COMSOL or similar) Familiarity with material science a plus Good communication skills and team player. Fluent in conversational Mandarin is highly desired. 20% Travel at our HQ or customers’ request. The base pay range for this role is between $144813.00 to $189222.00 annually and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
