Job Description Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible for all aspects of financial leadership, strategy, and operations. The CFO will oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, reporting, risk management, and capital strategy. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Healthcare SaaS, value-based care and risk arrangements, data licensing, and revenue cycle management. It will be critical for the CFO to be comfortable working with ambiguity and change in a dynamic, high-growth environment. This position will be based out of our Ellicott City, Maryland office.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the executive team, shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth plans.

Oversee functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, budgeting and variance analysis, forecasting, financial reporting, tax, accounts payable, and payroll for US-based and offshore entity(ies) (India and Philippines).

Understand and manage revenue recognition for complex SaaS, digital health, risk-based, and contingency service arrangements.

Engage with external auditors and ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting and audit readiness.

Champion compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and all relevant healthcare financial and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

Partner with operations and client services to drive process improvements, maximize revenue capture, and enhance client satisfaction.

Develop and implement financial controls, tax and compliance processes.

Maintain full transparency with investor(s), finance subcommittee, and board of managers

Assist with M&A activities, as needed.

Lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.

Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Be in The Ellicott City, MD office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Travel: 5 days a month in the West Palm Beach Office and for other meetings as needed.

Identify and report undesirable trends and potential business opportunities and offer recommendations for action.

Review commercial contracts and other financial arrangements to validate concordance with business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

Certified Public Accountant required.

10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role within SaaS or health tech (oncology, value-based care, data analytics, or RCM highly preferred); Preference will be given to those who have experience as a CFO, Controller, or VP Finance.

Proven track record in rapidly scaling early-stage healthcare technology company(ies) and participating in IPO prep or M&A processes.

Deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, value-based care economics, and revenue cycle best practices.

Experience with financial systems, data analytics tools, and healthcare compliance frameworks.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated people-oriented competencies along with communication, empathy, and mentor capabilities

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Extensive experience with audited financial statements and managing relationships with external stakeholders and auditors.

High level of integrity, business values, and ethics.

Experienced managing offshore (India and Philippines) financial operations and intercompany structuring

Skilled at working across time zones, jurisdictions, and cultures.

Healthcare or regulated industry experience strongly preferred

Must be able to work a hybrid schedule; on-site a minimum of three days per week at the Ellicott City, MD office.

Travel: 5 days a month in the West Palm Beach Office and for other meetings as needed.
